ABOUT THE RECIPE
Tips for Best Results
Customization: For a virgin version, replace vodka with extra tomato juice or sparkling water. Adjust horseradish and hot sauce based on heat preference. t
Variations: Add a splash of clam juice for a coastal twist, or pair with Quartet for extra pepper layers.
Storage: Best fresh, but mix can be prepped ahead and stored in fridge up to 24 hours (stir before serving).
INGREDIENTS
3–4 oz vodka (or omit for non-alcoholic)
8 oz tomato juice (low-sodium preferred)
1 oz fresh lemon juice
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
½ tsp horseradish (adjust for heat)
Dash hot sauce (e.g., Tabasco)
1–2 tsp Sunday Sovereign Bloody Mary Rim Blend (for rim + optional dash in drink)
Garnishes: celery stalk, lemon wedge, olives, pickled green beans, lime, shrimp, bacon etc.
PREPARATION
Prepare the Rim:
Run a lemon wedge around the rim of two tall glasses. Pour Sunday Sovereign Rim Blend onto a small plate. Dip the wet rims into the blend, twisting to coat evenly—the 5-pepper mix with date sweetness creates a flavorful, textured edge.
Mix the Cocktail:
Fill glasses with ice. In a shaker or pitcher, combine vodka (if using), tomato juice, lemon juice, Worcestershire, horseradish, hot sauce, and a pinch (¼ tsp) of Sunday Sovereign Rim Blend. Shake or stir vigorously for 15–20 seconds to blend flavors—the rim blend adds subtle savory depth.
Pour and Garnish:
Strain or pour the mixture over ice in the rimmed glasses. Garnish each with a celery stalk, lemon wedge, olives, and pickled green beans threaded on a skewer. For extra flair, add a final light sprinkle of Sunday Sovereign on top.
Serve:
Enjoy immediately chilled. Stir with the celery to incorporate the rim flavors as you sip.
